Aluminum Sheet 5052 H32
5052 Aluminum Sheet is a medium hardness alloy that takes to breaking and forming relatively well although sharp bends are not advised. It is a great general-purpose alloy often referred to as “Anodize Quality aluminum” because it has great finishing qualities.
5052 Aluminum Sheet Features:
- H32 Hardness Rating
- Contains 0.25 percent chromium and 2.5 percent magnesium
- Can be hardened using cold working but is not heat treatable to higher strength
- Higher strength and great corrosion resistance than that of 3003 aluminum
- Available in thickness ranging from .040” to .375”
- 48” x 96” and 48” x 144” stock sheet sizes available in most thicknesses; may be purchased by the 12” x 48” increment (12” x 48”, 24” x 48”, 36” x 48”, etc)
- Many sizes are offered with PVC coating on one side. PVC coating is added at the time of production by the mill to keep the surface protected.
- Smooth, mill finish, not polished
- Very cost-effective option for aluminum sheet
- Used often for signs, automotive bodies, food processing equipment, storage tanks, ladders, decorative trim, etc.
