Steel Rectangle Tube

At Competitive Metals we stock a wide variety of both mild steel mechanical rectangular tube and structural rectangular tubing; both have an electrically welded seam. Inventory includes sizes range from 1/2" x 1" gauge up to 2" x 3" in mechincal tube and 2" x 3" up to 6” x 8” in structural square tube.

Steel Rectangle Tube Features:

• Mechanical rectangular tubing is used for light gauge structural applications and is produced to strict tolerances and specifications where more precision is needed. You see mechanical rectangular tubing used in all industries ranging automotive to machinery to agriculture.
• Structural rectangular tubing is strong and durable but tends to have less precise requirements and tolerance. Structural rectangular tubing is used in more high stress and long-term applications like construction, sign posts, and infrastructure.  
• 20’ stock lengths; most of the smaller sizes can be purchased by the foot up to 10’. Larger, structural rectangular tubing can be purchased in lengths of 10’, 20’, and 40’.
